Sports Timing System - SKIt The system is designed to measure the passage time of a participant at a certain distance. The electronic system consists of start and finish modules, which are based on the Arduino microcontroller. Each of the modules contains a sensor that allows you to track the moment of start or finish lines crossing. The data between the modules is transmitted using a radio channel or a wired connection. The starter device also includes a control panel, a light and a sound emitter. The device uses a WiFi module, through which the data is transmitted to a smartphone or tablet for storing and analyzing the results. The system operates in training and competition modes. Built-in rechargeable batteries are used to power the devices. We use the system to measure time indicators at children trainings and competitions in sports clubs and mass sports events.
Structure of sport timing system
The starting module contains: - the sensor for determining the intersection of the start zone (DS). Depending on the features and price limits, it may contain laser or ultrasonic sensors; - Microcontroller (MK), designed to process data from the barrier sensor and organize communication with the finishing module; - a radio module (PM) designed to transmit data between devices over a radio channel at a frequency of 433 MHz. The finishing module contains the following elements: - sensor to determine the intersection of the finish area (DF); - microcontroller (MK); - radio module (RM); - bluetooth module (VM) intended for communication with android devices; The devices are powered by rechargeable batteries. The capture and processing of results is done by an android device with the help of a special application
